Pick Your Suit or TuxWe asked our CEO, Justin, where he would choose to re-do his honeymoon if given the chance. Justin was previously a travel writer; we knew we could trust his judgment on everything travel-related. Lucky for us, him and his wife, Kristin, had already done a honeymoon do-over. Here’s what he had to say.
I didn’t have a normal honeymoon. My somewhat brief career as a travel writer culminated into a post-wedding extravaganza. We started out in St. Croix, traveled to Delhi, Kathmandu, Pokhara, the borderlands, Dubai, Doha, Sri Lanka, and The Maldives. Probably more. I remember at one point coming to in a hot tub somewhere in Mexico. It was an embarrassment of riches.
To be honest, my entire job was effectively going on honeymoons. When my wife and I decided to do a honeymoon do over for Menguin, I did not struggle to choose a location – let’s go to Anguilla. It is close to the United States with a laid back vibe and the best beaches in this hemisphere. I was right. It was perfect.
Anguilla did not disappoint. We stayed at the Viceroy in its last month, just as it was being converted into the Four Seasons Anguilla. The grounds, food, accommodation, and beaches were all ace. The crowds were minimal, and the food was also great.
Perched on a rocky outcrop over Mead’s Bay, The Four Seasons is a five-star hotel with residences, beachfront villas, spacious suites, and some excellent pool game. My wife and I rented a car to better explore the island, but we did not even want to leave the property – it is that good.
