10 amazing Wisconsin wedding venues

10 amazing Wisconsin wedding venues

Wisconsin: the home to a surprising number of viable wedding venues. In fact, there are so many amazing locations that we had a difficult time narrowing it down to just ten. So, go ahead and order the fancy cheese plates and kegs of craft beer, because you won’t have any trouble finding the perfect wedding venue in Wisconsin.

(We wish that the same could be said for keeping your great uncles’ never-ending Packers vs. Bears feud from making a scene at the reception. Unfortunately, that will undoubtedly be difficult.)

Villa Bellezza Winery:Pepin

While it’s safe to say that Wisconsin is quite different than historic Italy (we refrained from using the term “polar opposite”), Villa Bellezza Winery stands out in a region that’s famous for dairy and frigid winters—and it just might be the closest one can get to an Italian wedding in the Badger State. So if “great wine” and “a taste of Tuscany“ are phrases that you’d like to describe your ceremony, check out Villa Bellezza.

Pres House Chapel:Madison

Churches and chapels are the most popular venue choices for traditionalists, and Madison just happens to be home to one of the most beautiful options in Wisconsin. Boasting beautiful gothic architecture and a richly historic past, the Pres House Chapel is the perfect choice for an elegant ceremony.

Villa Terrace Art Museum:Milwaukee

Who doesn’t want to get married while surrounded by Mediterranean architecture, beautiful landscaping, and breathtaking art? While this venue tends to attract the creative types (thanks to the “art museum” title), even the Scrooges of the world would find little to complain about when it comes to a wedding at Villa Terrace!

Blue Harbor Resort and Spa:Sheboygan

While your out-of-town guests might have difficulty pronouncing “Sheboygan,” they certainly won’t forget the beautiful wedding that they attended in the hard-to-say city. At Blue Harbor Resort and Spa, you can wed on the sandy shores of the always-gorgeous Lake Michigan before heading inside to host your memorable reception.

Circa on Seventh:Kenosha

What was once an old theatre is now one of Kenosha’s most popular event venues. With its classic brick front and welcoming French doors, the outside of Circa on Seventh looks like a trendy (if almost hipster) locale, but the simple, classic interior is timeless.

Milwaukee Public Museum:Milwaukee

This one’s for you, history (and natural science) buffs! The second museum to make this list, you won’t find expansive Mediterranean architecture or even many pieces of art here. Instead, you can say “I Do” next to wooly mammoth bones and makeshift replicas of old towns.

The Waters:Oshkosh

As a fair warning, you might automatically jump to the “preppy East Coasters” conclusion when you see the classic white mansion with its wrap-around porch, sitting atop a perfectly manicured lawn. But The Waters is actually the preferred venue for individuals with a wide range of styles. So whether you opt for a harbor view wedding or a smaller ceremony in the historic banquet room, the Waters can suit any taste.

The Garden: a SURG Banquet Facility:Milwaukee

Not for the faint of heart (or the anti-modern art crowd), The Garden is a unique space with an undeniably funky (but super cool) design. While it’s indescribable qualities are best gathered from photographic evidence, the venue is perfect for the abstract artists of the world.

The Enchanted Barn:Hillsdale

Rustic weddings are all the rage these days, and the Enchanted Barn is perhaps the most charming and popular rustic venue in all of Wisconsin. It’s so popular, in fact, that securing a spot can be competitive. But if you’re lucky enough to save a date, you won’t be disappointed.

Evolution Milwaukee:Milwaukee

Evolution Milwaukee daylights as a ping-pong recreational center, but many couples choose to use the modern venue as a reception location. You heard that right. So if you’re looking for the ultimate sporty wedding (complete with table tennis competitions and a full bar), look no further.
